How does a photographer make a great shot of a dog and a baby together?

I frequently get asked to take photos of dog and babies together…it’s a hard thing to do and I am always looking for a great scenario. If the baby is too small and the dog too big the picture can be awkward. If the baby is old enough its hard to get them together in a shot. Since I get asked for this type of shot a lot I thought I would go searching for good photos of this online and I started putting a collection together on pinterest.
